5th Grade: The students learned about the Underground Railroad today and the life of Harriet Tubman. We watched a video clip that went along with their reading assignment (234-236). We will also be having a vocab quiz on Friday. Study up.
6th Grade: We had a discussion and debate about the Osama bin Ladin situation to begin class. We also worked on our Napoleon Bonaparte resumes that are due tomorrow.
7th Grade: We had a discussion and debate about bin Ladin and the students were given their rubrics for the WWII final project. The rubric is posted under 'assignments.' We will be spending a considerable amount of class time on the project which is due May 19.
8th Grade: The students learned about the powers of Congress today and watched a clip elaborating on its important role. No HW.
