Monday, November 1

5th Grade:

Today we learned about Ulrich Zwingli and John Calvin and their roles in the Reformation.  We also reviewed the impact of Martin Luther on Europe at the time.  As homework, the students were to complete a true/false activity for Martin Luther and on the back I included a comparison charter to be filled out about the three people from the lesson.

6th Grade:

We had a vocabulary quiz and began to read a condensed version of the Iliad by Homer.  We read section one in class and the students are to complete the corresponding questions for section one as homework.

7th Grade:

In class we worked on a physical map of Europe identifying the various mountain ranges, rivers, and seas, that were in the notes last week.  We also took some new notes on the climates of Europe.  For homework, the students are to complete the map.

8th Grade:

Today, the students worked on designing posters depicting the images that come to mind when we think of the Cold War.  We also took notes on the Space Race and will be learning about President John F. Kennedy this week.  There was no homework assignment today.
