6th Grade:  We read about and discussed the revolution in France and the beheading of King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.  We also watched a video clip about the revolution.  The students were to finish reading the section for HW.

7th Grade:  We learned about the Eastern Front in WWII and the famous battles of Leningrad and Stalingrad.  We also watched a clip showing the destruction of each.  No HW.

8th Grade:  Nelson Mandela was the topic of today as we viewed his biography and discussed the resistance to Apartheid in South Africa.  The students are to read pages 20-31 from their yellow text books.
